Privacy Policy

Effective 8 October 2026

This policy covers Ambient Content OS, the private content-management application used to operate the Roam & Rest YouTube channel, and this website (roam-and-rest.pages.dev).

Who uses Ambient Content OS

Ambient Content OS runs only on the Roam & Rest owner's own computer. It is not a public service: the only Google account that signs in to it is the account that owns the Roam & Rest YouTube channel, and it manages only that channel.

Google and YouTube data the application accesses

When the channel owner connects their Google account, Ambient Content OS requests these permissions:

It does not request access to the Google account's email address, contacts, Gmail, Drive or any other Google product, and it does not read other people's channels or private data.

Why the data is accessed

Only to operate the Roam & Rest channel on the owner's instructions: publishing the owner's own recordings, keeping their titles, descriptions, thumbnails and playlists accurate, and measuring how the channel's videos perform so the owner can plan future recordings.

Where the data is stored

Sharing

Google user data is not sold, rented or shared with anyone. It is not used for advertising, not used to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, and not read by anyone other than the channel owner. Ambient Content OS also posts the owner's own short videos and captions to the owner's Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts; no Google user data is sent to those services.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Ambient Content OS's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access

Google access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions by removing Ambient Content OS. Choosing Disconnect inside Ambient Content OS deletes the stored tokens, the channel connection and the channel-level daily analytics from its local database; it does not by itself revoke the permission at Google, so revoking it on that page as well is recommended.

Deleting stored Google data

Disconnecting removes the tokens, the channel connection and the channel-level daily analytics. Per-video details and per-video analytics already synced remain in the local database, and any local backups keep their copies, until they are deleted.

Deletion requests are handled manually by the owner; Ambient Content OS has no automated deletion tool. To request deletion of stored Google data, email the contact address below. The owner will delete the requested records from the local database and the applicable local backup copies.

Some records are kept in the application's append-only audit history: publication approvals, execution records and release observations, which can include YouTube video IDs and the video status read back from YouTube. These records cannot be deleted individually. If a request requires their removal, the owner will delete the entire local database and its local backups.
